TrANsMIT Training School, June 2026
The TrANsMIT training school was held in the Bovisa Campus of Politecnico di Milano, organized jointly by the INITIATE project and TrANsMIT COST Action. The training school held on the dates of the 7th to 9th of June, focused on advanced topics in Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) and Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) technology assessment. The first day’s subject was the CCUS/CDR technologies, systems, and performance indicators. The second day of the TrANsMIT training school continued with dense and insightful advanced topics on CCUS/CDR technology assessments. The lecture included the location analysis of the CCUS/CDR technology, a hybrid approach to CAPEX projection, and a prospective TEA of a potential project. On the third and final day of the TrANsMIT training school, interested MSc and PhD students and researchers enjoyed the lecture on the advanced topics in CCUS/CDR life cycle assessment (LCA), especially focusing on carbon accounting, time-value of carbon emissions/drawdowns, and prospective LCA. Harmonizing their fresh knowledge, the participants presented their group assignments after a productive training school.
