Call for the Virtual Mobility Grants (3rd Grant Period)
Dear TrANsMIT Members,
We are happy to announce the final call for Virtual Mobility (VM) grants for TrANsMIT Action in the current grant period.
VM grants involve collaboration in an online setting among researchers or innovators within the Action.
In particular, this grant period’s VMs need to contribute to the development of the TrANsMIT open-access CCUS database.

This time, we introduce a continuous application procedure with systematic evaluation rounds, but all grants must conclude no later than 30 September 2025.

Call for the TrANsMIT Workshop in Dublin
Dear TrANsMIT Action Participants,
We are pleased to announce a call for applications to attend a Workshop on process modelling, TEA and LCA of sustainable fuels production, which will take place at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, on 4-5 September 2025.

Call for Short-Term Scientific Missions (STSMs) and Virtual Mobility (VM) grants
Dear TrANsMIT Participants,
We are pleased to announce the second call for Short-Term Scientific Missions (STSMs) and Virtual Mobility (VM) grants within the current grant period of the TrANsMIT Action.
STSM grants provide financial support for researchers and innovators to visit a host institution located in a different country from their affiliation, in order to carry out specific work within a defined time frame. This year, we particularly encourage applicants to contribute to the creation of the TrANsMIT open-access CCUS database. Proposals that include work on the development of this database will be given priority.
VM grants support online collaboration among researchers and innovators within the Action. In this grant period, VM activities should also directly contribute to the development of the open-access CCUS database.

TrANsMIT Training School Call
Dear TrANsMIT Action Members,
We’re excited to open applications for the upcoming TrANsMIT Training School on The Role of CCUS in Industrial Decarbonization, taking place from 30 June to 4 July 2025 in Jaca, Spain, and hosted by the University of Zaragoza.
This Training School is mainly geared towards early graduates, PhD students, and postdocs, and it’s a great chance to dive into key topics such as the current state-of-the-art in CCUS technologies, the principles of Techno-Economic Analysis (TEA) and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of CCUS, industrial processes and decarbonisation routes in paper and pulp, iron and steel and cement plants.
Applications are open until 15 May 2025, so don’t miss out!

Call for Applications for the third Grant Period conference grants
Dear TrANsMIT Action Members,
We are pleased to announce the Call for Conference Grants. This call includes three types of grants aimed at supporting the participation of Action participants in high-level conferences.
Types of Conference Grants:

ITC Conference Grant:
Supports an oral presentation of the applicant’s own work by an Action Participant affiliated with an institution in an Inclusiveness Target Country (ITC) or Near Neighbour Country (NNC).

Dissemination Conference Grant:
Supports an oral presentation of the work of the Action by any Action Participant. The presentation should directly promote and disseminate the results of the TrANsMIT Action.

Young Researcher and Innovator (YRI) Conference Grant:
Supports poster or oral presentations of their own work by Young Researchers and Innovators (YRI). Applicants must be 40 years old or younger and actively involved in the Action.
Applications should be submitted via the e-COST platform (more information in the call document).
The period of Conference Grants should be completely framed inside the Grant Period and yet reserve some margin for presenting the scientific report for approval and final payment. Therefore, the activity should be finished the latest by 30 September 2025.

Call for Applications for the Zagreb Workshop
Dear Transmit members,
We’re excited to invite you to apply for the upcoming TrANsMIT COST Action Workshop on “Creating a CCUS Database”—happening on the 15th–16th of May in Zagreb, Croatia!
This hands-on workshop brings together participants from diverse backgrounds to collaborate on developing a comprehensive CCUS database. The focus will be on collecting key inputs for CCUS models in areas such as process modeling, techno-economic analysis, and life-cycle assessment. We are in our second year of the cost action. We have the opportunity to fund research stays in the form of short-term scientific missions (STSMs) and virtual missions (VMs) this year. These research stays should contribute to the objectives of TrANsMIT focusing on process modelling, techno-economic or environmental analysis of CCUS technologies/systems.

Call for WGs Meeting:

We are pleased to announce that the next Working Groups meeting of the TrANsMIT COST Action will be held on 14-15 March 2024 in the Net Zero Innovation Centre, which is a part of Teesside University in Middlesbrough, UK.
