The conference of the TrANsMIT COST Action started with the opening remarks and background history on the project proposal by the chair, Prof. Anna Skorek Osiwaska, and co-chair Prof. Mijndert Van Der of the action. The objectives and achievements finalized during the action were also introduced in detail by the chairs and working group leaders.

We had three wonderful and influential keynote speakers on the first day of the event. The president of the CCUS Poland Association, Paweł Gładysz, talked about the future of the CCUS Systems in Europe. This was followed by a presentation by Patryk Suchodolski from Heidelberg Materials, who focused on the Polish Cement Industrial CCUS Activities in Practice. Prof. Raul Munoz Torre of Universidad de Valladolid gave a different insight into the CCUS value chain through a discussion on recent developments and limitations in biological CO2 capture and utilization.

The WG leaders of the TrANsMIT presented the work and achievements during the final year of the action. The masters’ and Ph.D. students, the researchers, and experts granted short-term scientific missions, virtual mobility, and ITC grants presented their work with interactive discussions.
